Paediatric Gastrointestinal surgery is a specialised branch of Pediatric surgery, the majority of pediatric surgical problems are gastroenterology cases. These cases intially were done by the General surgeons. This developed as a sub-speciality along with pediatric surgery.

– Liver disease
– Intussusception
– Mesenteric cyst
– Choledochal cyst
– Malrotations
– Gastric volvulus
– Pancreatic diseases
– Hirschsprung disease.
– Meckel’s diverticulum and its complications
– Gastro – esophageal junction problems (Esophageal stenosis, GOR, Hiatus Hernia)

More than 50% of our work is pediatric surgical gastroentrology. Today, a majority are done by laproscopic surgery.
